Objective:
Designed for primary four to primary six students, the workshop aims to stimulate students’ interest in reading through picture books and interactive games. Legal professionals will also be invited to share insights on their daily work, professional expertise and career paths, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and guiding them in exploring future career options. The workshop welcomes the participation of parents to actively promote paired reading across different disciplines.

Target:
Students from primary four to primary six, each with a parent.

Quota:
3 sessions. 20-30 paired units each session. (1 student and 1 parent as a paired unit)

Objective:
Featuring a series of fun and engaging interactive activities, the workshop guides children in understanding the principle of “work first, play later”, and teaches them how to break down overwhelming daily tasks into small and manageable jobs, thereby reducing procrastination and resistance. The craft session also helps parents learn positive communication and time management skills, and explore how to provide appropriate support for their children through scenario-based discussions.

While reading is the key to unlocking new worlds for young children, parent-child reading is the bridge that connects the hearts and minds. Every time a page is turned represents not only a leap in growth for children, but also a journey of emotional exploration and understanding. Children get to know happiness, embrace sadness and learn about courage and acceptance through stories, allowing them to develop their abilities in managing emotions. By reading together with their children, parents equip them for the future, help them build up the courage to face challenges, and sow the seeds of emotional management in their little hearts.

Objective:
Through paired reading, children will gain a deeper understanding of the emotion of “anxiety”, learn about their response to such emotion and know how to deal with anxiety, thereby reducing conflicts between parents and children and promoting harmony in the family.
